Marlene V. Jones, OTR/L, graduated from the University of Florida in 1989 with a Bachelor of Health Science in Occupational Therapy. She is certified in Neuro Developmental Techniques (NDT) and is up to date with the newest orthopedic techniques for hand and shoulder therapy. Marlene is always learning new strategies to apply to her practice, and is constantly reading the latest research to improve the effectiveness of her therapy. She has experience with inpatient rehab, inpatient acute care, and outpatient neuro and orthopedics. She has worked with a variety of clientele from pediatrics to geriatrics. Marlene has taught ADL classes for FIU’s OT program and has served as a clinical instructor for dozens of Occupational Therapy interns now practicing in the field. She is creative, empathetic and attentive to her patients’ individual needs. Her daily goal is to make patients feel better than they felt when they arrived for therapy. She truly enjoys caring for others and strives to help them return to their favorite activities and hobbies.
